A cozy Argentine Tango weekend in the historic Old Town of Xanthi
The Old Town Festivalito 2018 took place on September 8–9, 2018, as part of the Old Town Festivities of Xanthi, and marked a special moment for Argentine Tango lovers.
Organized under the umbrella of Philoproodos Union of Xanthi (FEX), the festivalito was designed as a warm and humanscaled tango experience, highlighting closeness, musicality, and genuine connection among dancers.
A Cozy Festivalito with an Educational Focus
Tango Aires festivalitos are characterized by their intimate and welcoming atmosphere.
Workshops are held in smaller, more homogeneous groups, allowing for deeper focus on technique, clearer communication with the teachers, and a more meaningful learning experience for each role.
Guest Artists & Workshops
The Old Town Festivalito 2018 hosted the internationally active tango couple Danae Zevgadina & Raphael Passaquay, who shared their unique technique and artistic approach through workshops and performance.

The event was enriched by an impressive bazaar of tango clothes and shoes, courtesy of Alegria (Eurydice & Panagiotis), which added even more finesse to the event. FEX’s TangoAires team warmly thanked the guests and participants, acknowledging the success of a full and memorable weekend.
