TangoAires Festival Xanthi 2015 – 2nd Edition

The TangoAires Festival Xanthi 2015 – 2nd Edition took place on 27–29 November 2015 in Xanthi, Greece. It became one of the warmest weekends in the story of the TangoAires Festivals. At its core, the event celebrated social Argentine Tango. Through seminars and milongas, dancers shared an experience built on connection, music and community.
The guest teachers of the 2nd edition were Gabriel Marino and Paola Tacchetti. Both artists are known for their presence and authentic tango aesthetics. Below you can watch show video highlights, and explore a photo gallery from the weekend.
Guest Teachers: Gabriel Marino & Paola Tacchetti
Gabriel Marino, originally from Argentina, brought his wide tango experience to Greece in 2008. As a result, he became a strong part of the local tango scene. He is known for his deep understanding of tango as both an art form and a social dance. At the same time, his movement quality and stage presence leave a clear impression.
A key part of his artistic journey is his collaboration with Paola Tacchetti. Together, they have performed at various festivals. One of them was the TangoAires Festival in Xanthi, where they delivered memorable moments both on stage and in the milonga.
Paola Tacchetti is recognised for her musicality and expressive quality in Argentine Tango. In addition, her partnership with Gabriel Marino stands out for its natural connection. Their dancing feels like storytelling through movement. For this reason, her dedication to authenticity and detail has earned the respect of both dancers and audiences.
Seminars & Milongas
The festival programme combined seminars and long nights of social dancing. During the classes, the focus was on connection, musicality and movement quality. During the milongas, everything came to life on the dancefloor. For TangoAires, tango is always about community. That feeling was present throughout the entire weekend.
